Re-Opening Tomorrow, Jan 4, 2021
Good afternoon Root Down. I trust each of you had a very nice Christmas a New Years Day and hopefully had the opportunity to spend time with friends and family…at a safe distance of course. My hope in this new year is that we are all able to get back to normalcy and do what we do best…love, hug, hope, shake hands, bump fists, congratulate effort and of course DO WORK safely…together!
We are reopening our doors tomorrow, Jan 4 after a short time away. As much as it pained me to close our doors during this time, the reports I was reading and the messages I received from friends and members, it became the right thing to do. As always, the well being of you all is my priority.
So, moving forward, I want to say I look forward to seeing each of you back at it each day as we return. I stand by the thought that our best line of defense is to better our immune systems. And, there’s not a better way to do that than through healthy diets and exercise. We will continue offering a clean and open/airy environment.
2021 offers new hope and positive direction for all of us.
A couple of announcements as we reopen…
- There will be a change in scheduling.
Starting Monday, there will no longer be a 5:45 PM class due to lack of participation. If interest peaks, we will reevaluate. All other classes are normal times.
- Glad to welcome a couple of new coaches to our staff.
Misty Williams will be taking over 5:30 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Vinny Williams will be teaching Wednesdays, 5:30 AM and some Noon classes when he is available. And, of course, you will continue to see my smiling face each day along with Austin Perry on Monday’s, 5:30 AM.
- Effective February, 2021, we will be revising our name.
Beginning in February, Root Down CrossFit will become Root Down Community Strength and Fitness. We are excited about this change as it offers opportunities to broaden our scope of training and nutrition. With this said, methodologies and focus will not change. The manner by which I program, our detailed focus on form to eliminate injury, and the methods used to make you healthier and stronger will remain cornerstones in all we do.
- Excited to re-introduce Evolved Epicurean.
In the next couple of week’s we will be re-launching Evolved Epicurean, a healthy meal prep service. Meals will be ordered via website each week and available for pick-up at Root Down. All meals will be Paleo inspired with the freshest and best ingredients available making it a little easier to eat healthier.
Again, this new year has so much to offer. Let’s grab the “brass ring” together and make 2021 our happiest and healthiest year yet. See you all tomorrow!
